MAX HADLEY
AS A PROBLEM SOLVER AT HEART, I am motivated to expand my toolbox to tackle the challenges of today's corporate world. Curiosity drives me to explore diverse responsibilities, and processes both at work and in my personal life. As a self-diagnosed serial hobbyist, I immerse myself in various interests and connect with fascinating individuals.

My Journey starts as a student studying at Canada's #1 ranked Mechanical Engineering program. Here I learned the fundamental building blocks to engineering, specializing in Energy and Solids Design, but most importantly
I learned how to learn.
Marrying Engineering with Business
While honing my technical skills in school, I realized the value of also sharpening my business acumen through work experience. I pursued several internships that were each instrumental in fostering my growth in project management, where I leveraged data and research to drive the development of successful products. Understanding the mechanics of the business better enables me to make data informed decisions that yield impactful outcomes.
Construction Procurement
(4 months)
Relocated to Hong Kong and worked with Asian suppliers for $100M+ construction projects.
Worked with 5 high-profile clients building pixel perfect digital strategies and product development services.
Digital Consulting
(4 months)
Product Development
(14 months)
Led the full product development lifecycle for all products across 3 brands launched between 2020-2022.
Graduating to Canadian Tire
With my diploma in hand, I continued directing my
attention down the product path by joining Canadian Tire,
Canada's #6 largest retail conglomerate. As a young team in
a behemoth corporation, the product development team is any
learner's dream sandbox - the need to wear multiple hats is an
understatement in this role. My strong ability to swap between functions
was rewarded with a promotion from lead project engineer on the
automotive team to associate manager; I was the youngest staff to ever be promoted to the associate manager level on the product development team.
As associate manager, I am the program manager for one of Canadian Tire's
strategic pillar brands: PWRPOD, a 20V Li-ion battery platform. Beyond prioritizing
PWRPOD's health, I also entered another arena: people management. I have had 2
engineer interns under my wing, and I have a full-time engineer reporting to me to support the
PWRPOD program. I take pride in building efficiencies for the team and have built out several
processes that are being utilized by the team such as processes to strategically build business
categories, product definition communication with vendors, project management systems, and an onboarding knowledge sharing system.

Life Outside of Work
When I'm not out socializing, you will typically find me practicing a hobby. My thirst to learn new hobbies comes from the desire to be able to experience as much of life has to offer and to connect with more interesting people.
